SHEILA ANDERSON
Sheila holds a Master degree in Social Work through the University of Northern British Columbia, and a Bachelor degree in Social Work with a specialization in Child Welfare from the same institution.
Sheila has experience working in rural and remote communities and is passionate about work with children, youth and families. Of particular interest is work with individuals experiencing neurodivergence, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder and Attention Deficit Disorder, and individuals coping with the impacts of trauma.
Sheila works from various therapeutic modalities including CBT, DBT, somatic experiencing and attachment, equine and animal facilitated therapies, and most recently she has commenced her journey to learning EMDR with completion in early 2022. She draws from various theoretical frameworks including polyvagal theory, attachment theory, and skill based frameworks.
In her downtime, Sheila enjoys time with her children, horses, dogs, and participating in aerial arts.
