Rob Ziegler

Rob began his career in 1989, as a counsellor and referral agent in Prince Rupert, gradually moving from there into the position of therapist at the Nechako Residential Treatment Centre in Prince George. There, he practiced for fifteen years in the field of addictions and co-occurring disorders (with their corollary issues of grief, loss, and trauma resolution; anger/violence, couple's counselling, and the development of more effective communication skills). During this period, his job also included EFAP counselling sessions with employees and their family members. In 2001, Rob was selected as a northern representative for the Provincial Men's Committee, where he assisted in clarifying and publishing a manual that addressed men's issues in the process of recovery. Rob arrived at Walmsley & Associates in March 2006.

In addition to utilizing traditional methods of therapy, Rob offers his clients the tool of Mindfulness Meditation which produces a greater self-awareness as well as a clearer sense of personal accountability in those who choose to undertake the practice. Rob lives with his wife and teenage sons in Prince George. His hobbies are creative writing, painting, and Tai Chi.

Rob has a Master of Arts degree from Bowling Green University, Ohio.
