Maria Walsh

Maria has been working as a counsellor since 1995. She counsels young adults and adults. Maria has worked with people experiencing a very broad number of challenges such as mental health issues, relationship difficulties, trauma, grief, stress, etc. She is particularly interested in depression, anxiety, self-esteem, body image, life management/stress management and helping helpers.

Maria believes fully in the power of people to be their own forces for change in their lives. She believes that counselling is about walking the road with people for a brief period of time and supporting them as they make the changes they want to make. She is honoured to be welcomed into the experience of her clients to watch their growth, development, and success. 

Maria holds a Master's of Education in Counselling from the University of Northern British Columbia and also works at UNBC Counselling Services. 

Maria sees clients in Prince George on Saturdays.

 

Professional Associations

Maria is a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the  Canadian Counselling Association.

Limitations

Maria will not work with children or families.
