Colleen Haney
Colleen has a Bachelor of Education degree, a Masters in Human Kinetics (Sport Psychology), and a Doctorate in Education (Counselling Psychology) all from the University of British Columbia. She has worked as a counsellor and as a counsellor supervisor in a community counselling centre for both male and female clients. She currently supervises counselling students and teaches at the University of British Columbia in the Department of Counselling Psychology.
Colleen's areas of practice include stress management, personal, and relationship issues. Colleen has considerable experience helping individuals with anxiety, depression, anger, and self-esteem. She offers individual services to older teens and adults.
Colleen has experience supervising counsellors in a variety of settings which have focused on services for adolescents and adults. Colleen's supervision has been around providing empirically-based treatments such as relaxation and cognitive behaviour for some depressed clients. She does a lot of process work with clinicians by providing debriefing, brainstorming, and advising. Colleen is also available to supervise counsellors.
