Jeffrey Dinsdale

Jeff was born in Manitoba and raised in Ottawa where he graduated from Carleton University with degrees in Sociology and Social Work.  Jeff has lived in Quesnel since 1975, he is married with two adult sons.

Jeff's professional experience includes employment as a medical social worker in a large Montreal teaching hospital; direct service, administration and supervision in child welfare, corrections and social assistance in communities throughout the Northwest Territories, Yukon and in Quesnel; director of the Quesnel Mental Health Centre and employment as an instructor at the College and University levels.  Jeff has extensive experience developing counselling, rehabilitation, and educational services and programs.  Jeff also provides clinical consultation and program development services.

Particular areas of clinical interest include grief/loss, anxiety, stress, working with couples and families experiencing relationship difficulties, anger management, family violence and addictions.  Jeff has been very involved in the establishment of a wide variety of health and social service programs in the community of Quesnel as well as with province-wide professional and service groups.

Leisure activities involve enjoying his home and property, community involvement, reading and writing about Canadian history, canoeing and wilderness camping and raising and training Canadian Eskimo Dogs.

Jeff sees client in the Quesnel office on Monday and Tuesdays.  At the present time Jeff is not taking any new clients.
