Garth Walmsley

Garth has a Masters degree from University of British Columbia School of Social Work.· He has worked in the EAP field since 1992.· Prior to this Garth worked in the alcohol and drug and child welfare fields both as a practitioner and supervisor.· Garth was previously the Executive Director for Prince George Alcohol and Drug and under his term the agency met the CARF accreditation standards for the first time.

Garth is the primary account manager for the Employee Assistance Program contracts for Walmsley and Associates.

Garth provides clinical supervision to counsellors and consultation in the areas of alcohol and drug, marriage/relationship, and work with children.· Garth also takes a primary role in coordinating and supervising employee information sessions and workshops.· He is the consultant for EFAP program development and committee training. Garth is available for consultation to management for dealing with problem employees.· He is the primary contact for mandatory referrals.· Garth also provides assistance in accessing the full range of Human Resources services including Substance Misuse Assessments, Career Transitions, Disability Management, Recruitment and Employee Retention.

Garth lived and worked in the Prince George region for 22 years.· He is currently resident in Victoria, BC.
